The term "skepticism" in relation to astrology often brings to mind individuals who criticize astrology as a pseudoscience. This talk will examine the historical and philosophical origins of skepticism and offer a framework for understanding modern skepticism as it pertains to astrology. We will discuss skepticism by exploring controversies with organized skeptics over the Gauquelin Mars Effect and other astrological research.
