The Six Faced Deity: Tracking the Solar Phases of Mercury

We begin by examining the Mythology of Hermes from a Cosmological perspective, placing it within the overall story of the Olympic Pantheon's emergence. From there we differentiate between the various complex and multi-faceted roles Hermes plays within many mythic fragments. Finally, we look to the astronomy of Mercury's synodic or Solar cycle for parallels and correspondences between the phases and faces of Mercury to reveal the fullness of the Mercurial Mythos.
