Astrolabe, Inc. was founded in 1979 by noted astrologers Arthur Blackwell, Steve Blake, Gary Christen, Robert Hand, and Patricia White. In addition to a large line of other software, Astrolabe is the publisher of Solar Fire, beloved and used by astrologers throughout the world. Currently Astrolabe, Inc. employs seven people at its headquarters in Brewster, Massachusetts and two others who work remotely from Oregon and Singapore. It also has a semi-autonomous division in Great Britain.
